Integrated scenic carving of Fuji-san on one side and The Great Wave off Kanagawa on the obverse using a dark brown, almost black clay with exquisite detail. The container is perfectly round - no small feat when completely hand-carved! Container is double stamped, signed, and has the creation date on it. This piece includes a signed & stamped gold cloth as well as a hardboard panel, created by Kawada, which describes the piece in detail.
The outside of the rim is 4.2" wide and 2.75" tall.
This container does not have a wood box (kiribako). We can assist in obtaining a high quality box for this container, at an additional cost, if you desire.
